Powdered peanut butter? Peanut flour? We’ll help you get to the bottom of all of our products, and figure out which one is right for you and your family.
All of our products are made from roasted, high oleic US grown peanuts. We take the roasted peanuts and put them into a pressing machine, which extracts the oils (which is how peanut oil is made). The remainder of the peanut is left in a meal form, and is milled into the powder that you see in the jar. The result is a product that retains all of the protein, fiber and taste of peanuts with much less calories.
Powdered Peanut/Almond Butter can be used in many ways. These are the best, and easiest, ways to use it:
- As a spread. Mix 2 parts powder with 1 part water to create spreadable peanut/almond butter.
- As an ingredient in smoothies and protein shakes. Add 2-3 tbsp per drink into your blender with your favorite smoothie ingredients (bananas, strawberries, blueberries, honey, spinach, kale).
- As an ingredient for oatmeal/yogurt. Stir in the powder to mix with your oatmeal or yogurt.
- As an ingredient for baking and cooking. See our recipes section to see all of the different ways you can incorporate Powdered Peanut/Almond Butter
Our Peanut Flour is great for baking. You can use it in tandem with regular flour to provide extra flavor and protein. Recipes can vary, but we typically recommend replacing 25% of the flour required in a recipe with our Peanut Flour.
There are two major differences between our Powdered Peanut Butter and Peanut Flour. The first is the fat content. Our Peanut Flour contains a higher fat level with a stronger peanut flavor. This is because the process of baking can minimize flavors, this allows us to protect more of that great peanut flavor. The second difference is that Peanut Flour contains no other flavors or ingredients, it is 100% peanuts.
When you are mixing the powder with water to create a spread, we recommend only mixing the amount that you are going to consume at that time. If you make extra, it needs to be refrigerated and consumed within 3 days. Because there are no preservatives in our products, the spread needs to be consumed shortly after it is mixed with water.
Our Protein Powder products are best used in protein shakes, smoothies and smoothie bowls. They have no sugar added and more protein than our other products. 20g of plant protein per serving will give you sustainable energy through the day with the great taste of roasted peanuts.
Mixing an entire jar of Powdered Peanut/Almond Butter would create, by volume, about 25% more than the volume of the jar.
